Refined linseed oil
Linseed oil is extracted from the mature seeds of flax. They are ground and compressed under high pressure. There are two ways of production: hot and cold. The cold pressed linseed oil is most suitable for the purpose of painting. It is clean and light yellow in colour and has very slight characteristic odor. The hot pressed linseed oil has heavier odor, it contain impurities and is dark yellow to brownish in colour.
Maestro pan uses the best flaxseed oil obtained in Europe by cold pressing. We further process and refine the oil following old recipes, we let it sit for one year without access to air and light - thus all remaining large particles naturally settle to the bottom of the container.
The second stage includes gently heating the oil to 60 - 80 degrees, to remove any moisture. Bleaching of the linseed oil happens under the spring sun, which discolours the perishable organic ingredients with its natural UV rays. This way we get the best product-refined linseed oil, suitable for the production of oil paints, emulsions for tempera paints, thinners as well as for the preparation of classic oil primers and varnishes.

Quick drying linseed oil
High-quality refined linseed oil with added siccative. Used in small amounts it serves to dilute the oil paint to the desired consistency. When mixed with paint it accelerates the drying process. It actively enters into the composition of semi-oil and oil primers and oil emulsions.
Quick drying linseed oil - 100 ml, 200 ml, 1000 ml
Working varnish - medium
When working with oil paints it is good to use working varnish for their dilution. Its ingredients include thinner for oil paints and also linseed oil, which softens and mitigates the adverse properties of the thinner and protects the paint from burning and graying and retains its gloss. The working varnish is not finish varnish.
It is not suitable for cleaning brushes either. It contains linseed oil, thinner and complex of resins and balsams. It serves to achieve the necessary consistency of the paint; it improves the drying and gives gloss and transparency to the oil paints.
Working varnish - medium - 100 ml, 200 ml, 1000 ml
White spirt- deodorised
White spirit - deodorised - thinner for oil paints, colorless and odorless. The deodorised white spirit is mineral turpentine derived from petroleum distillates, highly refined product which can be used as a substitute for turpentine oil. It is extremely clear and its smell is much weaker than that of turpentine oil. It reacts neutrally to the oil paint – it neither delays, nor accelerates the drying because it does not form tarring. Due to the removal of aromatic hydrocarbons the deodorised white spirit can not be used for making varnishes. It does not dissolve resins belonging to the dammar resin and the mastic type. You can thin oil paints with it, clean your brushes and remove wet layer of oil paint. It is preferred by artists who find the strong smell of turpentine troublesome.

TURPENTINE
Balsam turpentine
Balsam turpentine has a characteristic pleasant smell. It is obtained by distillation from resin which flows out of trees. This thinner for oil paints accelerates their drying due to the fact that when exposed to air it loses some of its essential oils and tars. It successfully dissolves resins and balsams. It is used as finish varnish if dammar resin is dissolved in it in a certain ratio. Balsam turpentine can be used when working, for thinning oil paints, washing brushes and cleaning of semi-dried oil layers. It is ideal for preparation of varnishes and lacquers of dammar resin and mastic.
Enamel mediums for acrylic paints
It liquefies water-based paints – tempera and acrylic. The paint becomes glossier and is applied more evenly. At the same time it increases the drying time of the applied paint.
Enamel mediums for acrylic paints - 200 ml
Inhibitor for acrylic paints
Medium – drying inhibitor for acrylic paints and water-based paints.
Working procedure: Mix with acrylic paint with the inhibitor in ratio as follows- acrylic paint: inhibitor 10: 1. The effect is: extended drying time of acrylic paint and a greater ability to mix colors directly on the drawing.
Inhibitor for acrylic paints - 100 ml
Cobalt siccative
It contains thinner for oil paints and cobalt siccative. It accelerates the drying of the oil paint with drawing of oil painting. It can be used to dilute the oil paint or be mixed with the linseed oil, white spirit, turpentine.
